I stir my tomato sauce with this every night and it doesn't scratch my nonstick pan at all, which was my main worry. The shape makes it easy to scrape the corners of the pot too.

The handle stays cool enough to grab even after ten minutes of stirring tomato sauce, which I didn't expect from a basic pan spoon. It's stiff enough to scrape the bottom of the pot without bending, and cleanup takes about five seconds under the tap.

The rounded edge really does keep my nonstick pan from getting scratched, which was the whole reason I bought it. It's sturdy enough for stirring thick stews but still light in the hand.
