Carving a big roast used to mean juggling a too-short fork and a hot pan, but this 38 cm version keeps my hands clear and makes lifting easy. The length is just right for table service, too, and it feels sturdy in the hand.

Finally, a fork long enough that I don’t have to lean over the hot pan to grab a roast. The 38 cm length is perfect for lifting a big brisket without burning my knuckles, and it feels sturdy during carving.

The 38 cm length is good for reaching into a deep roasting pan, but the handle feels a bit slippery when my hands are greasy. It gets the job done for lifting a chicken, though I wish the prongs were a touch sharper.
