The mesh is fine enough to catch the smallest bits of foam, yet it drains quickly so you don't lose any broth. I've been using it on my homemade stock and it's a noticeable upgrade from my old slotted spoon.

The curved edge really hugs the pot wall, so it catches every bit of foam without scraping the bottom. I've used it on stock three times this week and the broth comes out noticeably clearer.

It does the job without splashing, which is my main gripe with other skimmers I've owned, and the handle feels balanced in my hand. Took a few uses to get used to the slightly flexible edge, but it's been a solid addition to my stockpot routine.
