No more cracked eggs in the pot since I started using this little tool, the plastic pin pushes a neat hole in the shell without shattering it. Simple design but it does exactly what it's supposed to.

I boil a dozen eggs every Sunday for meal prep and got tired of half of them splitting open. The little pin on this thing pokes a clean hole in the wide end, and since I started using it I've had maybe one crack in three weeks. Cheap, tiny, lives in the drawer.

No more cracked shells since I started poking a hole before boiling, even with older eggs straight from the fridge. The little plastic pin is simple but it hasn't dulled after months of use.
