Just used this to chop basil for pesto, and the grinding action is much finer than chopping by hand. It fits easily in my utensil drawer, so cleanup and storage are no fuss at all.

The crank mechanism is surprisingly smooth and grips the herbs firmly, making chopping fresh basil for pasta sauce effortless. It’s compact enough to store in a drawer, and cleanup takes just a quick rinse.

I like that the mill is compact enough to store easily, though the grinding mechanism sometimes needs a bit of a push for denser herbs. It works well for everyday use.
