I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lever mechanism grips even the toughest walnut shells without slipping. It has a nice heft to it that makes cracking feel satisfyingly solid.

The black matte finish looks great on the table, and the lever action cracks even hard pecans without slipping. I've used mine every evening this week, and it still opens smoothly.

Cracks walnuts cleanly without much effort, and the black finish really does look sharp on the counter. Only gripe is it’s a bit bulky for smaller hands, but it handles the job reliably.
