I’ve been using this pointed sieve to get super smooth tomato sauces, and the fine mesh catches every seed and bit of pulp without clogging. The handle feels secure and balanced, making it easy to press through even thick purees.

The 20 cm diameter is just right for straining stocks into a quart container without splashing. It does a beautifully fine job on coulis too, though I wish the handle had a bit more of a grip for when my hands are wet.

The pointed shape really helps funnel everything into the bowl without splashing, and the 20 cm size fits my standard pots perfectly. I do wish the handle felt a bit sturdier when I’m pushing through thick purées, but for fine straining it works great.
