The slots are wide enough to let water drain quickly, which is perfect when I’m scooping out blanched vegetables. It feels sturdy in my hand and hasn’t warped after several uses.

The long handle gives me plenty of reach into a deep pot without my knuckles grazing the hot rim, and the slots drain water fast enough that I don't end up with a soggy mess on the plate. Works exactly as it should for pulling vegetables straight from boiling water.
